Return of the barra..

Meet up with Apy at 8pm to catch the outgoing tide for some Kim action..

On Apy's first cast, something hitted his lure hard and took some line but

didn't managed to set the treble.. Awesome though, its only his first cast!

So i come close to him and cast to the same direction......

Seconds later, BOOM!!! Got myself a strong take, fish on!

Catfish... No wonder.... zzzzz.... :)

As the tide is moving down slowly, the surface is busy with

crazy baitfishes jumping around.. *must be some Kim frenzy

underneath.. Just the right species we're targeting.. So i

changed to my favourite lure and keep on casting passionately..

On my third cast, BOOM!!! A nice 7lbs Kim..

After about a month plus of busy working period, i'am back with

barra hunting and this time it's at a new barra spot. Apy landed

his first smallest barra there then followed by me..

Small PB Big Fun

Meeting up with my good old kaki 'Weng' for some saltwater luring

session actually, but turned out to be some small PB's

from the freshwater due to the bad weather..

just like the fishes. Seriously i'am not up to taking

Sunset jacks

Today me and Apy decided to fish the sunset at our usual spot for some

barra action. Just when we reached the spot, i saw a big barra leap

out of the water right in front of me! *good sign* So both of us

kept casting and casting....

After 15mins of casting, suddenly i had a strong sharp

take, boom! fish on! I tot it must be the big barra that

i saw just now but i was wrong.. Its a good sized MJ.

10mins later, Apy landed a nice MJ too. Its his

first MJ on lure.. We only landed 2 MJ's

instead of barra..hehehe.. :)

Soft Plastic VS Hard Bodied Lure

This morning me and Apy returned to our usual spot

but this time i'am strictly on soft plastic, no hard

bodied lure! :)

When we reached the spot, the tide was so damn nice

for us to start our hunting. Without wasting time, i

rigged up my Keitech 'Swing Impact' which i bought

last week and start casting, while Apy was already

bz casting his Aile Magnet...

On my third cast after the first twitch, i had a strong

sharp take, i paused for 2secs and immediately set

the hook. Fish is on! I'am so happy regardless what

fish it is. As it comes closer, i was even happier to

see that it was a good sized flathead!

No choice Apy got to stop casting and help me

with the photo..hehe.. Apy was like,"how come

so fast you landed oredi, are you cheating?"

hehehe.. I just smiled... :)

After photo and released my dear flattie, 5mins later

i landed an even nicer kim on the same weapon!!!

Apy 'kan chiong' oredi after my second fish and

he started to casts at all directions! hehe.. Maybe

today the fishes here just prefer soft plastics...
